Hojas Verdes Vegetarian Restaurant

Here's another vegetarian/vegan restaurant that I want to share with you!
  • The place:
Its name is Hojas Verdes, which means green leaves. Their decoration is very rustic and makes you feel like you're in an old town. They have a variety of dishes that you can order besides their daily menu. It's also amazingly cheap, their daily menu only costs around 3 USD per person.

  • The food:

The daily menu includes: Flavored water, salad, soup, main dish, dessert and tea. Everything is natural and organic and super fresh. The service is also pretty good and they just make their customers feel like home.

Cucumber salad with tofu dressing
Broccoli and squash blossom soup
Stuffed chili with soy meat and black beans, brown rice and tomato salad
Tapioca for dessert and chamomile tea

  • The store:

They also sell their organic ingredients and products. They have tofu, bread, cookies, soy milk, almond milk, coconut oil, and many other things. The price is a little bit higher in this case, since these products aren't very easy to find and of course, because all natural and organic products are always more expensive.

My family and I ended up buying many ingredients and one of them was the Agar Agar powder, which is a great substitute to gelatin and it's extremely good for your health.
I encourage you to try out vegetarian/vegan dishes, you won't regret it. It's healthier and also delicious. And if you are an animal lover and try to preserve the environment, then just give it a try!
